Moving to a new house was a lot of work!

On Friday the 21st of July, my family and I moved to our new house in Papatoetoe. We took three cars there, because there were lots of items that we needed to take.

First, we packed a lot of our things into big plastic bags. I helped my mum to pack our items. I packed our clothes, and the clothes that needed to be washed, books, bags, a small shelf and other items.

Then I took the big bags to the cars one at a time. First I took the big bags to a big van, nearly all of our things could fit in there. After that I took some bags to our family car and the rest to our old car.

Soon I finished packing the big bags into our three cars. It was tiring taking the bags because they were really heavy. Soon we travelled to our new house and it only took us 40 minutes to get there. While my mum was driving, we listened to music from our phone. We listened to pop music sang by male and female artists.

Our new house was really big and it was really exciting because it was our first time moving to another house. Before long, we started taking our things into the house.

There were three rooms in the house; a bathroom, a sitting room and a kitchen. There is also a garage.

After putting all our things away we all went to our rooms to get a night's rest, because it has been a busy day.

My favourite part of the day was going in the house because it was really exciting to go to a new house and it was also our first time. I am really looking forward to living in our new house because it is a bigger house and, we can play in the backyard.
