Only half the class switches off their devices when they are not using it!

Analysis:

•  43.8% of the students in Room 7 switches off the lights when they are not using it.
• 50% of the students in Room 7 turns off their devices when they are not using it.
•  25% of the students in Room 7 walks to school.
• 25% of the students in Room 7 have showers that are under five minutes.

I like my weekend!

On Saturday 25th of March, my family and I went to Manurewa for a barbecue.

First we tidied up the house before we went to Manurewa. It took us an hour to get there. While we were on our way to Manurewa, we ate some chips and drank some water on the way. The road was full of cars.

When we went inside the house everyone was cleaning up and cooking the barbecue. Soon my siblings, my cousins and I went outside to play soccer. We kicked the ball around and we also did some tricks. Then we played rugby. Rugby is a game that where you can tackle, run and kick the ball up high. However we didn't want to have tackling because it's dangerous. I had so much fun.

After we went inside, we had some barbecue. We had chops, sausages, chicken and patties. I had two chops, a sausage, a chicken and one pattie. All the food were delicious.

Soon we had dessert. We had straw berry ice - cream and chocolate cake.

After having some dessert, we all went to have a bath, so we are all nice and clean.Then one of my cousin turned on the television and we listened to some music.

My favourite part of the day was when we played soccer because it was so much fun doing some of the tricks.

We just met Katie Glynn!

• Today the entire school and I went to meet Katie Glynn at the hall. She showed us some of her team's photos and two videos about what she did in the Rio Olympics. She also answered us some of her questions. Lastly, the entire school and I had a photo with her and we held the Rio Olympics flag.

Learning Intention: We are learning how to write a verbal recount.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I record the visit from Katie Glynn using Blabberize.

Evidence of heat energy in our school environment!

Learning Intention: We are learning to understand the impact of heat energy in our environment.
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I find evidence of heat energy around our school environment.

Visitors!

On Sunday afternoon, my aunt, my uncle and cousins came to visit my family and I. We were so happy to see them because we haven't seen them for a long time.

My three cousins, Jane, Billy boy and Talei were so excited to meet me. My siblings, my three cousins and I soon went to play outside. We played a game called Hunter. We had to hide and avoid being caught by the person who is the one counting and chasing you. We also had to run away so we didn't get tagged. It was so much fun playing the game.

Then we went inside to have a snack. We ate pancakes. We all had some Milo and put jam, butter, and peanut butters on the pancake. It was so delicious.

After we had our snack, we had a devotion. I grabbed the bibles from the shelf for us to read out loud and the Fijian Hymn books so we could sing songs from it. Then we all said our own bible verses in the Fijian language.

After we had our devotion we all rested for while and went on the iPad to play a game. Soon it was time for them to go back home, because it was getting late. When they had left, my family and I were all feeling sleepy so we went to bed.

My favourite part of the day was when we played Hunter because it was so much fun hiding and running away from the chaser.

It was fun doing Orienteering!

Today my class and I went to do Orienteering.There were two coaches, their names were Irene and Leon. They taught us where to run and follow the map. We also had a piece of paper for us to clip using the controls. We had so much fun doing it. Learning Intention: We are learning to write a verbal recount. Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I blabberize the topic.

It was cool during the weekend!

On Saturday my aunt, my cousin, grandma and I went to the beach. First we had to get ready to go. Once we were all ready. We went to the bus top and we waited for the bus to come. Soon the bus arrived and we went inside the bus and my aunt paid for our fares.

 Soon we were at the beach. My cousin, my aunt and I went to the changing room. Then we went swimming in the sea. My cousin and I swam for a little while then we build some castles and collected some shells. After that we went swimming again in the sea. Next we went to the park because my cousin wanted to go to the park. My cousin and I went to the slide while my aunt and my grandma sat down and rest on a bench. My cousin and I enjoyed playing in the park.

My cousin and I played on the seesaw and the swings. After that my aunt called us because she was taking us to M'c Donald's. It was close to the park. Then we were there at M'c Donald's, my cousin and I ate happy meals but my aunt and my grandma didn't want to have any. My cousin and I ate our ham burgers, chips and we drank some coke. My aunt told my cousin and I that we are going to watch a movie. So we went to the movies. We watched Sing and we ate some popcorn, ice cream and we drank sprite. After we want back home and we were so sleepy and tired. Then we all fell asleep.

 My favourite part was going to the beach because we swam and made sand castles.
