It was cool during the weekend!

On Saturday my aunt, my cousin, grandma and I went to the beach. First we had to get ready to go. Once we were all ready. We went to the bus top and we waited for the bus to come. Soon the bus arrived and we went inside the bus and my aunt paid for our fares.

 Soon we were at the beach. My cousin, my aunt and I went to the changing room. Then we went swimming in the sea. My cousin and I swam for a little while then we build some castles and collected some shells. After that we went swimming again in the sea. Next we went to the park because my cousin wanted to go to the park. My cousin and I went to the slide while my aunt and my grandma sat down and rest on a bench. My cousin and I enjoyed playing in the park.

My cousin and I played on the seesaw and the swings. After that my aunt called us because she was taking us to M'c Donald's. It was close to the park. Then we were there at M'c Donald's, my cousin and I ate happy meals but my aunt and my grandma didn't want to have any. My cousin and I ate our ham burgers, chips and we drank some coke. My aunt told my cousin and I that we are going to watch a movie. So we went to the movies. We watched Sing and we ate some popcorn, ice cream and we drank sprite. After we want back home and we were so sleepy and tired. Then we all fell asleep.

 My favourite part was going to the beach because we swam and made sand castles.

 Learning Intention: We are learning how to follow the structure of a recount. 
Success Criteria: I know I can do this when I group my ideas into paragraphs in sequence.

A Weekend in Manurewa!

On Friday afternoon, my family and I went to my cousin's house in Manurewa for a weekend. First we had to pack the clothes that we were taking with us. My Siblings helped me to pack up while my mum baked a chocolate cake and two pies.

After my siblings and I finished packing, I went to my mum in the kitchen hoping to help her but she had already finished baking the cake.

 After we were ready to go, my grandpa took us in his car and drove us to Manurewa. It took us an hour to get there. After we arrived, we went inside the house and they had already finished their dinner.

Then my cousins, my siblings and I went outside and played on the roller skates and scooter. A roller skate is a moving shoes or boots with wheels attached to them. The scooter has two has two wheels and a flat board where you stand on with one foot while yourself push forward with the sets of other foot on the ground. They had two sets of roller skates and one scooter. I went on one of the roller skates, my cousin went on the other roller skates and my other cousin went on the scooter. My other cousin and my siblings went back inside. My cousin on the roller skate taught me how to ride on it and soon I was getting used to it. Then we raced up and down the driveway on the roller skates and scooter.

After we went back inside, we watched a movie. We watched Smurfs. The movie was about little blue smurfs. There was an evil wizard called Gargamel. The Smurfs tumble from their magical world into the human world. After the movie, we were all so sleepy and tired soon we fell sleepy.

The next day we had breakfast. We ate chocolate cake, pie and drank tea. After breakfast we rested for a while.

Then we went on the computer and played games on it. We played Fire boy and Water girl. We played for a while. It was so much fun. Then my aunt and my mum went to M'c Donald's and bought frozen coke. When they came back home, we grabbed a frozen coke each and sat down on the chair to enjoy the cool, refresh drink.

My favourite part was going on the roller skate because we raced up and down the driveway.

Friend's birthday!

On Saturday the 18th, it was my friend's birthday. We celebrate my friend's birthday at their home in Panmure.

First we had to get ready to go to the birthday party. Soon we were ready to go to the birthday party. My aunt, my mum, my siblings, my cousins and I all went in aunt's car. My other aunt and uncle went in a different car.

Soon we arrived there and it only took us six minutes to get there. We went out the car and went inside the house. The house was full of balloons on the ground. My cousins, my siblings, some other children and I ate some snacks.

We played a lot of activities, like playing with the ball and the balloons. There was also a pinata. It was so much fun because we did some other activities. Then we all went inside to blow out the cake.

After eating the cake, all the children went upstairs to a room and watch a movie. Before the movie, I went downstairs to go and get some packets of popcorn for all of us. We watched Kung Fu Panda 3. It was a funny movie about a panda named Po. Po has four best friends, and in the movie Po's dad came to find Po.

When we finished watching the movie, we all went down to get something to eat. We ate some roasted chicken with salad. After we ate, we went outside and played some games.We played hand games, tag, hide and seek and hunter.

Then it was time for us to go back home. My dad, my mum, my siblings, my cousins, my aunties, my uncle and I all went home together because it was getting late.
As soon as we arrived home, we all felt tired and sleepy. We all bath as quickly as we can and went to bed.

My favourite part was when I played with other children because it was so much fun.

It was so much fun going to the swimming pool!

On Sunday, my aunt, my cousins and I went to the swimming pool. My aunt took us in her car and we arrived there within 2 minutes.

After we arrived, we went out of the car and went inside the centre. Soon we went to the pool and it was a big pool. We all went inside the pool and it was so cool.

After that we did some free styles and raced up and down the pool. Then we went to the slide. We went down the slide five times, then we went back to the pool. We swam and swam for a long time.

Before long, my mum came and we had to go back home. When she came, we got changed and headed back home. My favourite part was going on the slide because it was so much fun.
